Challenging Alcohol Attitudes Positively (CAAP)What is it?This life skills program will allow students to attend two workshop sessions as a consequence for alcohol/drug policy infractions. The classes provide an opportunity for learning and personal growth through discussion and group interaction. What does it do?The overall goal is to provide education for University of Illinois students who have experienced negative consequences related to their alcohol/drug use/abuse. The intent is to prevent problems related to alcohol/drug use. How much time?Each class is two (2) sessions, approximately two (2) hours each. What then?The office that referred you will be informed of compliance or non-compliance of class attendance. Class registration and scheduleTo register for class, participants should call the Alcohol and Other Drug Office at 333-7557. Registration is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You need to indicate the session you want to attend during registration. When a class if full (20 students), an alternate date must be selected.
*Room 222, at McKinley Health Center, is located in the east building on the 2nd floor. As you enter the health center (north entrance) turn left and take the elevator or stairway to the 2nd level. You will the proceed down the hallway. Room 222 is located on the right side of the hallway. Please note - Registration forms and releases will be filled out at the first session. Participants will need to bring names and addresses of the referral agency. For additional information - please call the Alcohol and Other Drug Office (AODO) at 333-7557.
