Sports Injury

The SportWell Center certified athletic trainers perform clinical services including preventing, evaluating, treating, and reconditioning of sports exercise injuries.

 Individual Consultation

University of Illinois students meet one-on-one with certified athletic trainers to address a number of sports and exercise related injuries.  Specialized staff also teach and supervise rehabilitation exercises and administer modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation. A referral from a McKinley provider is required.

 Outreach Programs

Our athletic training staff is available to educate students on prevention of athletic injuries, and advice on bracing, taping, padding or inserts.  Other topics of interest may include back pain, proper running techniques, and pre-season sports club training.  To request a program contact SportWell Center at 244-0261.
